Master Bath

Mike has finished laying the tiles in the master bathroom. The floor, shower and bathtub surround are all in travertine. We bought the 18" tiles last spring. I really like how they turned out. It was a lot of work...but I tell him it was worth it. It is Beautiful! I will give you a sneak peak of how they look. He put in the vanities and mirrors too.

Although it looked really pretty out it was still cold..but a little sunshine is always a good thing.

Happy Birthday!

Yesterday was Mom's 76th birthday!!
We brought dinner over to her after I got off work. We had chicken that Mike had roasted, coleslaw, dressing and a sugar free cheesecake I made. She had received several phone calls and cards wishing her a Happy Birthday. She sure is a popular Lady!

It is still soo cold outside...this is the dead of winter. At least the days are starting to get a bit longer. It is supposed to be in the 40's next week....I sure hope so.

What a Sale!

This weekend we went to Cashmere to visit Jessie (he just had his 30th Birthday...I can't believe it either!!). His house is looking so homey. He got some curtains for his Master Bedroom while we were there and put them up.. He really does have good taste!

I went in to shop at Craft Warehouse and happened upon a sale, 90% off Christmas stuff...wow! Here is a picture of most of the loot I got. Only $20 bucks!! Now I'm thinking I should have got more...but I am so done with Christmas.

Hoar Frost

We have been in the fog all week. Although it is cold and cloudy it is really quite beautiful. The most ordinary things look magical in the thick frost.
Looking Down our Driveway ...See how fuzzy the wire fence looks.
Wire fencing looks so cool in the frost! Chicken wire and woven wire.
Tree branches heavy with frost. Notice the bald eagle in the top of the tree of the 2nd picture. He sat there all morning.
Here is Cherry checking out me and the camera...she was happily eating breakfast in the barn.

Happy 2009

We had a very nice Holiday...quiet, but nice. Mom, Dad and Jimmy were up on Christmas Eve for our traditional Oyster Stew and goodies...Jessie made it home finally about 2 hours later. Not to worry though, there was plenty left for him. Christmas morning the boys were here to open gifts and have a leisurely breakfast. Then Jessie got called back to work...an offer he couldn't refuse. He took off before noon. We had our Christmas dinner of Prime Rib and Ham with all of the trimmings ending with Steamed Christmas Pudding. We missed having Kelly and Ryan with us this year.

3 Spoiled Pups

It is snowing again today. It was feeling like spring a few days ago but now it is winter again.

Dixie - my yearling filly...isn't she cute!!
