Out and About

Yesterday Dad and I took a little trip to Wenatchee for an appointment with his neurologist. We had to be there by 9am, so it was an early day for both of us. It had been over a year and a half since he had been to the Dr and since he was noticing increasing symptoms of his Parkinson's we decided it was time. His meds were increased so hopefully he will notice a positive difference. Other than that things were fine. The Dr said that being 84 and having Parkinson's he would expect him being tired but for the most part everything was fine. Dad would rather have a miracle pill to give him energy and enthusiasm...but such is life.

While we were in town I picked up the new vanity for the bathroom. Then we went to Cashmere to see my little cutie patoutie, Emma Jean. (and pick up the new shower doors Mike had left there).

We had lunch at Studebaker's, a 50's style diner in Cashmere, before heading home.

It was a pretty good day all in all!

Las Vegas!!

We took the motor home for a trip to Las Vegas last week. We blew a back tire out on the way, but after that was fixed everything went pretty smooth. We stayed at the RV park behind Circus Circus and the weather was great! High 70's low 80's.

This is the K-9 dog park at the Circus Circus KOA. Pepi and Lucy weren't sure what to think of it. They could be off their leads and were fenced in so they could run around and play. They ran through the yellow tube a couple of times with coaxing.

We bought 24 hr bus tickets so we could explore the Strip. This is the Excalibur at night. Everything was so pretty at night with all the lights.

We went to the dinner show Tournament of Kings at the Excalibur...front row seats...a fun show, couldn't take pix of course.

A windy day on top of the Stratosphere...the rides up here were really crazy thrillers...we watched. Our RV park and bounder are down there kind of in the middle of the picture, just a bit below the bright red roof of Circus Circus's adventure dome.

Inside the Venetian Hotel & Casino. We walked through a few different Casinos, went to the Bodies Exhibition, played a few slots and went downtown to Fremont Street. We drove down to Hoover Dam, then went up and walked out on the new bridge. That was impressive!

Mike finally gets his In-N-Out burgers...a Double Double, a Cheeseburger, side of fries and a Chocolate shake....good stuff!!

This is where Pepi & Lucy like to ride...on the dashboard of the Bounder. Another fun trip in the warm sunshine!

Snow, snow, go AwaY!!

Yesterday we had some strange weather...but it is almost spring...right. The day started out with some sunshine and yes of course wind, but I cleaned out the barn, did some burning and let the chickens out to roam.Later that afternoon there were a few light flashes(lightning)...then thunder! How strange..the sky was dark and then it began to hail and thunder some more.

Today we woke up to snow...it has been snowing all day..we have around 5 or 6 inches now(and still snowing).

The weather is calling for more of the same for the rest of the week...I am so done with WiNTeR!

But I guess it isn't done with us yet.

We always miss this little one when she goes home....Tonight she gave her Grammy a special surprise...she called me up on her own (much to her Mamma's surprise too)!!

What a smart little cookie she is!
