A Quick Look at the Garden
The recent rain and hot weather have really made my garden grow by leaps and bounds... the corn is over 6' tall and the tomatoes are about 4'. I have only got 1 tomato, but lots are set on.
My bee balm is just starting to bloom. I have never had bee balm before so I am anxious to see how it will look in bloom. I bet my hummingbirds are going to love it!

Corn..Cows...and Turkeys
These are the renters turkeys..they seem to grow every time I see them! The box sticking out on the back of the chicken house is where the nests are...you just lift the lid to gather the eggs, you don't have to go inside. Mike will be building me another chicken house before too long..he let mine go with the house we sold.

Poor Little Lucy!
Our garden is doing great! It is growing like crazy, as is the lawn. It has been so hot here the last few days, in the 100's. Summer is finally here! It is supposed to continue to be hot (80's -90's) next week too. Good hay weather.
We planted some corn, pumpkins and tomatoes up at our other house, it is doing well too, although it was planted probably a month later than this garden so things are much smaller. We planted green beans too, but not a one came up...very odd. Beans are usually the easiest thing to grow.
Tomorrow I am taking Dad and Mom to Wenatchee to the eye doctor. Dad has to have laser surgery on one of his eyes to get rid of some "mist" in his vision. I will go up and check on things at Jessie's while we are there. Mike will have to stay home and do hay.

Garden
The lawn is really doing good too...Mike has put so much fertilizer on it that is has to be mowed every 2 days, it is a good thing he enjoys mowing.
We got the star put up over the garage this week, I like how it looks!
We just got back from delivering a ton of hay. The guy had a beautiful paint stud that consistently throws paints or buckskins. Hmmm...he said we could probably make a hay trade for stud fee. I am seriously thinking this idea over!
